Alternative Therapies

Reiki is a spiritual healing art that channels positive energy into the body. Reiki deals with the seven chakras or energy centers, to balance each chakra so that the energy can flow and spin freely. During the session the practitioner will work with or without hands-on, as preferred by the client. The client can experience relaxation and other positive sensations such as heat, colors, and/or tingling.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is an instrument assisted medical technique performed by a licensed physical therapist to immediately reduce pain, muscle tension, and improve mobility. Pathologies that it might assist with include; acute or chronic injuries, headaches, neck pain, back pain, tendinitis, muscle spasms, sciatica, hip or knee pain, muscle strains, fibromyalgia, tennis or golfer’s elbow, overuse injuries and much more.

It is a treatment technique often used by physical therapists to relieve pain. It requires using a sterile acupuncture needle that is inserted through the skin into muscles, tendons, ligaments, and/or close to nerves. It is not acupuncture; it is based on a modern scientific study of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems. This treatment technique provides an environment that enhances the body’s ability to heal, which ultimately reduces pain.

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction.
