What is a Health Coach? The intention of a health coach is to help people improve their overall quality of life. Health coaches focus on individuals as a whole. We strive to set attainable goals and provide motivation to make small changes, based on bio-individuality. Whether your goal is to lose weight, increase energy, reduce stress or just get healthy, health coaches ask relevant questions, listen to your individual needs, assist in identifying obstacles, and create strategies specific to healing your body and moving you forward towards wellness. Health coaching may help; Improve digestive health, Decrease food sensitivities, Diversify diet, Lose weight, Improve sleep, Gain energy, Reduce stress and anxiety, Improve skin health, Improve attention, Set life goals and achieve them!
I conduct a free initial health history in the office. If health coaching sounds like the right path for you, we work to set up a schedule and subsequent coaching meetings take place in the office or via telephone. During these sessions, I help you determine target goals and set an achievable action plan. I provide handouts for diet and self care tips and tricks, nutrition education, recipes for the whole family, suggestions for clean/non-toxic products, and relaxation techniques. I also focus on work with children and their families, to decrease food sensitivities, increase food intake, and diversify diet in order to improve attention, mood, behavior, and brain function. I conduct home visits to educate about what’s in your fridge/pantry and assist in easy meal preparation. In addition, I help navigate the grocery store for simple and healthy produce shopping and label reading.
